University Nuclear Energy Research Gets $17 Million Grant
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Energy announced $17 million in research grants will be awarded to 23 university-led teams aimed at strengthening the research and development capabilities of American universities and colleges to develop the next generation of nuclear energy technologies and upgrade research reactors across the country.


WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama recently announced a $447 billion “American Jobs Act” proposal, including a $25 billion investment to modernize at least 35,000 public schools to create jobs while improving classrooms and updating technology needs.
Though playgrounds can be a compelling and fun attraction for kids of all ages, the National Program for Playground Safety reports that more than 200,000 children are seriously injured on playgrounds each year.
