SMRT Architects and Engineers, a leading provider of architectural and engineering services to secondary schools throughout the Northeast, has elected Kenneth D. Costello, LEED AP, RLA, a principal of the firm. Costello leads SMRT鈥檚 Site Design Group and has more than 20 years鈥� experience in site design and planning, distinguished by deep expertise in school athletic complex design, campus master planning, parks and recreation planning, and land-use permitting. He has designed and developed sites for institutional and higher-education clients throughout New England, including prestigious private secondary schools such as St. Paul鈥檚 School, Miss Porter鈥檚 School and Phillips Exeter Academy. He joined SMRT in 2013 as a senior landscape architect. Costello holds a master鈥檚 degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Rhode Island.
