SLC Schools See Big Return on Conservation Efforts
SALT LAKE CITY — Three Salt Lake City public high schools have saved more than $50,000 in energy costs thanks to the district’s Go Green Earn Green Energy Challenge. The Salt Lake City School District kicked off this inaugural conservation program in July 2013, and has since been pleased with the results.


CHICAGO — Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy, designed by STR Partners and built by F.H. Paschen/S.N. Nielsen & Associates, both of Chicago, recently received LEED Platinum certification.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — When it opens in the fall of 2015, Springfield’s Sherwood Elementary will likely set the standard for new school construction in the city. Designed in a flexible and energy-efficient manner, the school will also be the first in the district to house a local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club.
