Fire Control Instruments announces the new E3 expandable emergency evacuation system. The E3 offers modular construction and components that can be purchased as needed to expand the system over time. A peer-to-peer network operating at 625K baud, the E3 can be arranged as Style 4 or Style 7, using two conductor unshielded wire or fiber cables.
New Pig Corporation introduces the two-piece Spillblocker Dike for diverting and confining liquid without absorbing it. The new design features two 5-foot dikes with built-in keystone connectors. Shorter sections can be used separately for small spills or combined to form a longer 10-foot dike for managing larger spills.
Made of flexible polyurethane, the non-absorbent Spillblocker Dike resists oil, water, and many chemicals. It is reusable and its 3-inch high, two-layer construction features a hard, durable top layer and a soft, tacky bottom to adhere to smooth surfaces.
Fire-Lite Alarms, part of Honeywell’s Fire Systems Group, introduces its newest intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel, the MS-9200UD. Built upon a platform common to the MS-9200 and MS-9600, the new panel features advanced auto-programming capabilities.
The Viking Corporation, a supplier of fire protection devices, announces the release of concealed dry pendent sprinklers. This new line includes both standard response and quick response versions for both standard coverage and extended coverage applications. The push-on, thread-off cover design allows for easy installation after the system has been tested and the ceiling has been finished.
The Acclimate, a new intelligent fire sensor, is available from System Sensor. Acclimate was developed by incorporating software to automatically adjust to the local environment. As opposed to a fire system operator setting the detector’s operating parameters based on historical data for each location, Acclimate removes that process by automatically learning the environment and optimizing the performance for each location.

HighLites’ HL Series emergency lighting fixtures provide high-performance, low-maintenance, multi-directional emergency lighting for educational interiors. The self-contained, fully automatic, “wall hugging” emergency lighting units provide adjustable or fixed lensed, glare-free light distribution when line voltage is interrupted, according to the company.
HL Series housings are constructed from injection-molded, high-impact thermoplastic. The standard housing finish is white; black housings may also be specified. Environmentally-coated electronics ensure electrical safety.
Wheelock, a supplier of fire/life safety, emergency communications and facility management products, offers a complete line of ceiling mount appliances. Chloride Systems developed an architectural emergency lighting product utilizing high-output white LEDs (Lumileds). Splendore is capable of providing one footcandle average over a 50-foot linear path.
Splendore’s illumination engine is driven by two Luxeon V Star’s white LEDs. When combined with an engineered specular aluminum reflector system manufactured with Miro 4 (Alanod), Splendore maximizes the efficiency of the illumination system. The reflector design can be rotated up to 60 degrees in five-degree increments to satisfy off-vertical mounting applications.
